  • Independent Research
  • Food products include – Lemonade; Smoothie; Pizza Baguette; Oreo Truffles; Biscuit decoration

Year 6

These project will involve the following:-  Health & Safety

  • Food preparation and making skills
  • Consideration of User
  • The purpose behind the  product
  • The functionality of the product
  • Making design decisions
  • Applying innovation
  • Ensuring authenticity
  • Food products include – Cheese Palmiers; Macaroni Cheese; Potato Wedges; Cupcakes; Tuna Paste Salad

 

Year 7

These project will involve the following:- Health & Safety

  • Design and make a food snack
  • Safety and hygiene in the kitchen
  • Food products include – Bread dough; Pizza; Quiche; Vegetable Soup; Stir Fry

 

Year 8

  • These project will involve the following:- Health & Safety
  • Following complex instructions
  • Showing capability at food handling and preparation
  • Applying design skills to products
  • Food products include – Pinwheels; Lemon cheesecake; Short crust pastry / Sausage rolls; Chicken Dippers; Cornish Pasty
